I live in the beautiful little beach town of Santa Cruz, California, where I recently graduated summa cum laude from University of California Santa Cruz (UCSC) with a B.S. in Cognitive Science and a focus in Human-Computer Interaction. Lately I’ve been working as a research assistant in Human Factors at NASA Ames Research Center, and previously as a research assistant in the Human Computer Interaction Lab at UCSC, and as a web designer for the Psychology Department. I've also taken on occasional freelance UX and web design projects. In 2014 I was awarded an A.A. in Graphic and Interactive Design with high honors from Foothill College in Los Altos, CA.
I enjoy applying human-centered design principles to craft user experiences, design interfaces, and build websites. Having a preference for minimalist aesthetics and bold typography, I appreciate the current trends in flat design and responsive websites. In addition to designing for things with screens, I also like to create logos and printed things such as posters and business cards.
When I’m not designing things for fun or profit, you might find me walking along the beach, taking a hike on one of the nearby trails, reading a good book at one of the local coffee shops, or tasting at one of the local breweries or wineries. I also enjoy film, video games, tinkering with mechanical or electrical things, practicing Karate, and hitting the climbing gym.
